The producers today announced the departure of Ashlee and one Colin Egglesfield (never heard of him; not important). Interestingly enough, they said the decision to axe the two characters was always part of the storyline ... so why didn't they mention it until now? They made it sound like Ashlee was a permanent member of the cast instead of saying she was on a 12-week limited run. Call me suspicious, but something sounds hinky.
Even more curious, the producers say the two hopeless failures are taking it well. "When you go into a show you never know what’s going to evolve and what the possibilities are. But because they knew ahead of time [that leaving was a possibility], it wasn’t a complete shock." Huh. Sounds like they were told five minutes before the interview.
