AlexisAfter a series of supportive roles in films like "Tuck Everlasting," "Sin City" (she was one of the 18 hot girls that starred in that) and The Traveling Pants and sisters movie (I did that on purpose) Alexis has finally signed on for a starring role in the film "Ticket to Ride." Alexis plays a girl named Ryan Malby who has just graduated from college and now needs to find a job, a boyfriend and life path...and that is it. Nope, that is the whole plot. No aliens or Alexis turning out to be dead in the end and I don't think it is going to be a musical so I wish them the best of luck with making that different from every other chick flick. Pretty much it is Rory Gilmore, the later years. As for her onscreen mom, Lauren Graham is busy working on a movie with Dermont Mulroney and may have another possible TV series in the work. But probably not for a while if this WGA strike keeps up. And if you feel the void that Gilmore Girls left like I do you can now buy the entire series on DVD for about $260. Don't buy the cheaper one season DVD sets or watch it for free on ABC Family everyday but instead buy the entire series for $260 because it comes in a case with a handle! So worth it!!
