The ultimate second fiddle finally gets her moment in the spotlight: Judy Greer gets her own show.

Judy Greer and Jennifer GarnerJudy Greer and Jennifer GarnerShe is the one you are always like "What is her name?! I have seen her so many times!" but then you get busy staring at Jennifer Aniston and forget to check out the credits. Over the past few years, Judy Greer has coveted the niche of the best friend in the romcom/chick flick genre. She has honed the niche, perfected it and attached it to her ass. Though sometimes she plays the bitchy best friend and sometimes she plays the wall flower she is the go-to girl. She was the nervous bff for J.Lo (The Wedding Planner), the bitchy bff in "13 Going on 30," she played Thomas Cavanagh's bff in the short-lived but potential-filled "Love Monkey," she even played the over-looked bff/sister to Bryce Dallas Howard's blind leading lady and then most recently she played the horny bff in "27 Dresses" (she was the one who didn't look quite as good in those hideous dresses as Katherine Heigl.) She also has done a bunch of other great character roles but those three films are probably her most watched. However, now she is finally getting her own show called Miss/Guided which will be debuting on NBC this month!
Now it is produced by Ashton Kutcher but it is a scripted show which is a plus and it looks like he will only be making one cameo (and not one every episode where he pops out in a trucker hat and flails about like a 4-year-old with ADD.) Anyway, the show is about a girl who was a dork in high school and was tortured mercilessly but now, as an attractive, put-together grown up she has returned to the scene of her adolescent crime to serve as a guidance councilor. Cute idea, right? Sortuv "13 Goes on 30" meets "Grosse Pointe Blank" with some "Freaks and Geeks" combined. Anyway she is a great actress and the show looks really cute. Well, at least it looks better than Quarterlife. Plus, Chris Parnell plays the principal.
