LeightonYes! Yellow has managed to stay the hot color two seasons in a row. It came on to the scene last year when Reese Witherspoon wore that stunning Nina Ricci gown to the Golden Globes said. Her yellow dress said "Look Ryan Phillipe. I decided to exercise instead of eating ice cream when you left me for 22-year-old Abbie Cornish and now I look fabulous and I still have an Oscar and you don't." I don't think a lavender dress would have conveyed that. Then it was very big this summer and now after a dark winter we are starting to see it reappear. The always daring Leighton Meester (who used to be a blond actually) wore a fun dress to the Paley festival and Audrina Partridge wore hers last night to the premiere of The Hills. Yellow is apparently also a way for second fiddle brunettes to say "Hey I may have sexy photos tarnishing my name this week but at least I can wear a color that is contrasting to my hair."
