Anna Faris is The House BunnyI think Anna Faris is a wonderful comedic actress and though she has shined in mostly supportive roles (Just Friends, Lost in Translation) I think she is really to carry a film that is not part of the Scary Movie franchise ( I bet you good money they make 5 more.) Anyway, her new movie, "The House Bunny" looks like a combination of Legally Blonnd and The Girls Next Door (literally.) The plot sounds cuter than the trailer mostly because Anna's character is a bit of a weirdo. But there are some good supporting actors like Colin Hanks, Emma Stone (Jonah Hill's appealing love interest in SuperBad), Kat Dennings (The 40-Year-Old Virgin) and Beverly D'Angelo (who is a wee bit bigger and older than she was in National Lampoon.) But then Rumer Willis and Katherine McPhee are also in it. See Faris plays an actual Playboy Bunny who gets kicked out of the house because she is old (27) in Playboy years so she takes refuge as a house mother in the lamest sorority on some generic college campus. She of course teaches the girls that even though they are beautiful on the inside no one will talk to them unless they wear uncomfortable shoes and show off their racks and they teach her how to read. The plot actually sounds like the classic that was Sydney White except this is with girls. Oh well , it will at least be funny to see Katherine McPhee not act.
