Big gay AlWow. If that's a misguided attempt by Al's peeps to cast him in a more sympathetic light he needs to send them back to the drawing board. They're missing the most important point - it's really not Al's image that needs help. Yes, he lived large on Star's dime, but that was her idea. She wanted him to be at her side, a sort of unpaid assistant. Because he wanted this union to work for some ungodly (money), mysterious (money) reason (money), Al even put his prestigious banking career on hold to manage Star's career after she lost yet another job, most recently at the now-defunct CourtTV. There was just one little problem: the phone wasn't ringing. Nobody wanted to give her a job.
Al did his best to generate some opportunities, but the fish weren't biting and he got bored so he took Florida Memorial University (I know, who?!?) up on a teaching gig and book deal. When Star realized he was moving on, she had a snit and filed for divorce. There are also some who say that since Star lost all that weight that she feels she can do better than Big Gay Al, and is said to be dating (stalking) B-baller Dwayne Wade. She needs to find a man she can mold into what she considers the perfect servant (mate). Especially since she's having trouble keeping household staff. It couldn't have anything to do with her pissy attitude, could it?
