The Met Now for those of you who don't know the annual Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute gala is a very swanky party that celebrates fashion and makes celebrities feel smart because they get to go to a museum. In the past few years this gala has become the ticket of the century. It used to be more of a socialite and very fashion-aware actress party but now it is a full-fledged celebrity orgy. This is because now it an absolute requirement for celebrites as young as Hannah Montana to learn how to pronounce Givenchy in the correct way. If you do not attend fashion shows in New York you are a nobody.
Because this night celebrates high fashion you may notice that some of the attendees dress more daring than usual. I'm talking like Bjork at the Oscars in the swan outfit daring. They wear high couture. Now for some, like Kate Bosworth, the result is perfection but for some (Katie and my fav Rachel Bilson) their goals were too lofty and sadly they failed. Because even though all these girls are skinny and gorgeous at the end of the day they are not models (or hangers) so the clothes don't always look good. Here were a few of the best and the worst.
