The best of the Met Costume Institute Gala.

Olsen twins and some dudeOlsen twins and some dudeChristinaChristinaKateKateAshley and Mary-Kate are fixtures of this scene and in past years they have gotten lost in their dresses. Ashley and MK often wear couture but it is very hard for them because they are so so tiny however, I think Ashley (in black) looks so beautiful with her hair washed and very natural make-up. Her dress is so simply exquisite and she pulls it off beautifully. Sadly though MK looks cute she looks about 30 years older then her sister. Both are wearing Diane von Furstenberg by the way. Perfect Kate Bosworth looks lovely and colorful albeit a bit casual in her Chanel Haute Couture dress with Chanel jewelry. Now usually I would hate this because it incorporates hearts but I thought Christina Ricci looked stunning. First of all, that dress made her look 6 feet tall and lanky which is pretty amazing considering she is 5 feet tall. It was just a beautiful color on her and I thought the heart bodice was adorable (though I just saw the star on the back. Too many shapes are usually always a bad thing.) She was very un-Pugsly Adams. Ricci's dress was a Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci Haute Couture gown. Camilla Belle looked exquisite as usual in her Armani Privé aquamarine silk organza gown but she played it relatively safe though I really wish she had sported the dreads from 2,000 B.C.. I didn't love Jennifer Connelly's Balenciaga dress but she pulled it off because she is Jennifer Connelly and has the power of the Labyrinth within her. Liv Tyler and Blake Lively both played it safe with in black and I thought Hillary Duff looked very grown-up and classy in her Elie Saab gown. Oh. And Giselle looked good too but I thought Tom Brady gave off a creepy Ken doll vibe.Blake in blackBlake in blackCamillaCamillaGiselle and TomGiselle and TomHillHill
