DeniseI definitely was looking more forward to the "Living Lohan" show because for all her entertaining troubles I like Lindsay Lohan so why not give her family a chance. Howeve, Ali Lohan does not quite have the charm, talent or the pedigree of her older sister and Dina seems to be too obsessed with what the tabloids say about her older daughter ("I am a Mama Lion protecting her cubs") even though she is the one who was always like "What do you expect her to do? She is a teenager. Do you expect her to not go to clubs, drink illegally, pass out in public, flash her bajingo, experience with bisexuality, do every drug, have an eating disorder, hijack a car and go to rehab multiple times? Do you expect her not to do that? She is young for God's sake." Well, it was something like that. First of all, they are still living in Long Island which I guess is an attempt to be normal but you think they could buy a slightly less hideous house. I figure they would be able to afford it with all the money they get from suing the tabloids.
"Living Lohan" was proceeded by "Denise Richards: It's Complicated" on the E!Channels ridiculous hour of Monday night programming. Now, though I don't agree with Richard's choice to put her young children on television or the fact that she has not cut her hair in like 15 years I was surprised by my enjoyment of her show. Like most reality stars, Richards was performing, but it was a good one. She also stuck to the rules of what makes a reality show work.
1) Have 50's TV show music to make one's life seem chipper and upbeat
2) Have a house full of weird animals, one of whom is constantly pooping in inappropriate places (we have to give this credit to the Osbournes.) Most of the pilot plot line of Denise's show focused on her finding a stud to impregnate her pet pig. Obviously, half the reason celebrities have so many pets is because they have trust issues with people and they know animals will love them for who they are and not their status.
3) Be insane. We all know insanity with celebrities sells (don't you think Britney should get her own show again?) Denise is definitely proving that she is every bit the "crazy bitch" that Charlie Sheen said she was.
