cast of the new 90210Now true the new 90210 did have 2 whole hours to prove itself unlike Gossip Girl but still the only exciting thing on GG was Nate running around in his underwear after a predictable escape from the cougar's den (oh and Dan as a player wasn't bad either) but Serena's outfits (what was up with the Athena Greek goddess look?) and Jenny's Devil Wears Prada summer was just too much. Blair of course was perfect in every way.
As for 90210, I actually found the characters to not be despicable. Plus there are like 81 people on the show so it is hard to get bored (think of anyone who has been on a TV show that was cancelled in the last 5 years because they are probably on this show including the fabulous Jessica Walters of Arrested Development.RIP.) And it was absolutely fabulous when Kelly and Brenda showed up. Seeing them walk back through those halls almost brought a tear to my eye. There is the usual beautiful bitch (who doesn't hold a candle to Blair), the misunderstood jock, the intense newspaper editor and then there is Silver. Oh yes. That would be the little half-sister of Kelly and David Silver. She has seen a lot so she lives on the wild side. She has an edgy blog. She wears knee socks with cocktail dresses. We also saw blow jobs and hard drugs before the first commercial break. You can be sure the Wilsons aren't in Kansas anymore. I don't even think we are in Aaron Spelling's 90210 anymore.
