I'm not big on John McCain. I think he's a nasty, angry old man. And I think the Republican machine is just out to keep the Oval Office at all costs, and thought they could win Hillary Clinton's lost flock by choosing a running mate by gender rather than qualifications.

I don't know squat about Palin, other than what I've read. Professionally she seems a little light on experience, other than being mayor of the meth capital of Alaska, and that's quite an achievement, I guess. The National Enquirer has been talking about her extramarital affair with her husband's friend and business partner, and how she tried to force a shotgun wedding for her pregnant teenage daughter.

Maybe I should be careful what I say. Us Weekly put Palin on the cover with the headline, "Babies, Lies & Scandal", and saw thousands cancel their subscriptions. And Oprah has gone on the record to say she'd love to have Palin on her jumping couch ... but not until after the elections.
